Responsibilities
- Operate commercial cargo vans to transport goods to designated delivery points within a defined local territory.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securing of items to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical condition of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Interact professionally with customers during pickups and deliveries, handling inquiries and exceptions with courtesy.
- Complete daily logs, delivery receipts, and mileage reports accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and handheld delivery scanners.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
