Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vans to transport goods, documents, and parcels to designated delivery points in the Washington DC area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and electronic proof of delivery records.
- Secure cargo during transit and assist with loading and unloading as required.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service and professional communication with clients and dispatchers.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not strictly required for light van driving; standard driver's license may be considered.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to navigate routes efficiently.
