Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans for local deliveries and route services
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and operate in various weather conditions
- Proficiency with mobile delivery tracking applications
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach roadways and surrounding areas
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
