Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vans for local and regional delivery routes within Wichita and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload freight carefully, ensuring all items are secured properly to prevent damage.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain signatures for all packages upon successful drop-off.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab, removing trash and debris after each shift.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent commercial driving experience.
- Achieve and maintain a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with customers.
- Basic math skills for making change and processing paperwork.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and overtime if necessary.
