Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans for time-sensitive package and merchandise deliveries across Portland Metro
- Optimize daily routes using GPS navigation to ensure on-time arrivals
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for proof of service
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Handle fragile and high-value merchandise with specialized loading techniques
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays
- Represent SwiftLogistics with professional demeanor during client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean MVR (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Proficient with smartphone apps for navigation and delivery tracking
- Strong knowledge of Portland's traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Commercial driving certification preferred
