Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations in San Diego and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring all items are secured properly to prevent damage.
- Verify delivery orders for accuracy and obtain signatures from recipients.
- Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations.
- Provide professional, friendly, and helpful customer service to clients and vendors.
- Complete daily logs and paperwork accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy boxes and packages (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong knowledge of the San Diego roadways and traffic patterns.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy for logging deliveries.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
