Responsibilities
- Safely load, secure, and unload cargo onto the delivery van using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain digital signatures upon completion of each route.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and clear communication with clients.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs in line with company policy.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience in a logistics or delivery capacity.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physically fit to lift packages up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Strong knowledge of local Sacramento area roadways, traffic patterns, and geography.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
