Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vans and light trucks to deliver goods to residential and commercial clients in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, digital paperwork, and vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Interact professionally with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery issues on the spot.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems while adhering to all traffic laws and time schedules.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Excellent physical stamina to lift packages, climb in and out of the vehicle, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Reliable work history and punctuality.
- Experience with handheld delivery scanners (RouteSmart, Onfleet, etc.) is highly preferred.
