Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vans to transport cargo and packages to designated delivery points in Memphis and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring all items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, digital manifests, and vehicle mileage records.
- Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to delivery schedules and professional communication standards.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or equivalent state driver’s license required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local Memphis streets, traffic patterns, and geography.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic computer literacy for using handheld delivery devices and logging software.
