Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vans on designated routes within the Louisville metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring packages are securely fastened and organized.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain electronic or handwritten signatures upon successful delivery.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, mileage records, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients and resolving delivery issues promptly.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement (P).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial or delivery capacity.
- Clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
