Responsibilities
- Safe Transport: Operate commercial cargo vans safely and efficiently to deliver goods to residential and commercial addresses in Los Angeles.
- Load & Unload: Properly secure cargo to prevent damage and ensure the vehicle is loaded and unloaded in a timely manner.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, receiving packages, and obtaining signatures where required.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Route Planning: Follow designated delivery routes efficiently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no recent major violations.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Local Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Los Angeles traffic patterns and geography.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
