Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans to deliver packages and goods to residential and commercial locations throughout New Orleans
- Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS systems to optimize time and fuel consumption
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures when required
- Inspect vehicles before and after routes to ensure mechanical safety and cleanliness
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status, delays, or route changes
- Assist with loading/unloading packages and verify inventory against shipping documents
- Represent Express Logistics with professionalism while interacting with clients
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or equivalent training
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans streets and surrounding areas
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for using delivery tracking systems
- Professional communication and customer service skills
