Role Overview
As a Van Driver, you will be the face of our company. You are responsible for ensuring our products arrive at our customers' doorsteps safely, on time, and in perfect condition.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods to residential and commercial addresses throughout the Chicago area.
- Unload and load cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and dollies.
- Interact professionally with clients to resolve delivery issues and ensure high satisfaction.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the delivery van and company uniform.
- Route planning and time management to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Log delivery information accurately into the company's dispatch system.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License (Class B Commercial Driver’s License [CDL] preferred but not required for local delivery).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience in a local delivery or courier role.
- Strong knowledge of the Chicago, IL road network and traffic patterns.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be available for full-time shifts.
