Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vans to transport goods and materials to designated locations within Virginia Beach and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securing and protection of packages to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic proof of delivery records (EFD) for every stop.
- Provide exceptional customer service by handling billing inquiries and maintaining a professional demeanor with clients.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Clean Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a valid passenger and/or air brake endorsement.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial or delivery capacity.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways, traffic laws, and navigation systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
