Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial cargo vans to transport goods and materials to various locations within the Sacramento metro area.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any maintenance issues or safety concerns immediately.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery logs, manifests, and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and customers to resolve delivery issues or delays.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean at all times, representing our brand professionally.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major accidents within the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience driving commercial vans or box trucks preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong knowledge of the Sacramento, CA geography and local traffic patterns.
- Basic computer skills for using delivery management software and handheld scanners.
- Must pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings and weekends as required.
