Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial vans and light trucks on designated routes within Milwaukee and surrounding areas.
- Load & Unload: Efficiently load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secure and protected during transit.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and electronic logs (EOBR) as required.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and customers during pickups and deliveries.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B (or equivalent commercial driver's permit).
- Clean Record: Maintain a clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs within the last 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles or vans.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to use two-way radios and GPS systems.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
