Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vans to transport goods and packages to designated residential and commercial addresses.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Interact professionally with customers, answer questions, and handle payments or signatures if required.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in safe operating condition.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate logs of delivery times and mileage.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle maintenance needs immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred; Class C with a clean record is often sufficient for local delivery.
- Clean driving record with no major moving violations or DUIs within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to navigate efficiently in urban environments.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Basic smartphone proficiency for navigation and digital logging.
