Responsibilities
- Operate cargo vans and delivery trucks on established local routes in the Indianapolis metro area.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring all packages are secured properly to prevent damage.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain digital or physical signatures.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and vehicle inspection reports in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic knowledge of map reading and GPS navigation systems.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in logistics, freight, or delivery is preferred.
