Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vans to transport goods and materials to and from various commercial and residential locations in Washington, DC.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring items are protected from damage.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel consumption while adhering to traffic laws.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and delivery reports.
- Interact professionally with clients and vendors to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong knowledge of Washington, DC, and the surrounding DMV area.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
