Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans to transport packages and goods throughout Washington DC and surrounding areas
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining accurate route planning and time management
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain detailed delivery records and obtain customer signatures
- Uphold company safety standards and comply with all traffic regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B or equivalent endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC metropolitan area roadways
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
