Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vans to pick up and deliver parcels and freight within a designated route in and around Arlington, TX.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring items are protected from damage during transit.
- Update delivery status using handheld devices or mobile apps in real-time.
- Interact professionally with customers and business partners during each stop.
- Maintain accurate logs of delivery times and any damages or exceptions.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in the last 3 years).
- Previous experience driving a van or box truck is preferred but not required for qualified candidates.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to plan efficient routes.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems.
- Must pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
