Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vans on assigned routes throughout Long Beach and the surrounding South Bay area.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing packages to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance for both the vehicle and yourself at all times.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Interact professionally with customers during drop-offs, answering questions and resolving issues efficiently.
- Update delivery status using handheld devices and mobile applications in real-time.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major moving violations within the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing between 25 and 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and safety protocols.
- Strong navigational skills with proficiency in using GPS and map applications.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination.
