Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial van to transport goods and materials to various locations within New York City.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage.
- Verify delivery contents against invoices and obtain signatures for receipt of goods.
- Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the delivery vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and businesses during deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience.
- Familiarity with navigating the New York City area and traffic patterns.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Professional appearance and communication skills.
