Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans and box trucks to deliver freight to designated customers and drop-off points in Louisville and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain electronic or physical signatures from recipients.
- Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical integrity of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues immediately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or route changes.
- Complete daily logs and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driverβs License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience driving commercial vans or box trucks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
