Responsibilities
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure strapping.
- Navigate delivery routes using GPS and route planning software to ensure timely arrivals.
- Inspect vehicles daily for cleanliness and mechanical issues before and after shifts.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse staff to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and paperwork (e.g., bills of lading).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Report any vehicle damage or maintenance needs immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C or B Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no major violations).
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly over the course of a shift.
- Basic understanding of map reading and GPS navigation technology.
- Strong time management skills with a proven track record of punctuality.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Flexibility to work weekends or overtime when business demands it.
