Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans to deliver packages and goods throughout Boston and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using GPS tracking systems
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and address inquiries
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic regulations
- Load/unload packages with proper lifting techniques and secure cargo
- Report vehicle maintenance issues and maintain cleanliness of assigned van
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
- Strong knowledge of Boston metropolitan area and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic computer literacy for using delivery tracking software
- Pass background check and drug screening (company policy)
