Responsibilities
- Safe Driving: Operate company vehicles (vans) safely and efficiently to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload merchandise, ensuring packages are handled with care and organized within the vehicle.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, verifying deliveries and maintaining a positive brand image.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and paperwork as required by company policy and federal regulations.
- Route Management: Follow assigned routes and schedules, adapting to traffic conditions to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in commercial driving or logistics is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and GPS systems.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
