Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans for timely deliveries within Chicago and surrounding suburbs
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and GPS tracking documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adapt routes efficiently using real-time traffic and weather data
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Driver's License with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Strong navigation skills in Chicago metropolitan area
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Basic smartphone proficiency for route management apps
