The Role:
As a Van Driver, you will be the face of our company. You will ensure that packages are delivered safely and on time while maintaining a high level of customer service. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vans for local delivery and pick-up routes in San Jose and surrounding areas.
- Safely load and unload merchandise, ensuring all items are accounted for and handled with care.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in optimal condition.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, handling inquiries professionally.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes or delays in real-time.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major accidents).
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong knowledge of San Jose and the greater Bay Area road network.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
