Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans to deliver packages and materials to clients across Indianapolis and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic tracking systems
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal safety and performance
- Load/unload cargo efficiently while adhering to proper handling procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve issues promptly
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, company policies, and delivery schedules
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding delivery status and route changes
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana Class C driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3+ years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or equivalent safe driving history
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate manual/automated loading equipment
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and mobile communication devices
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting
