Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans for timely deliveries across Detroit and surrounding areas
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo using proper material handling techniques
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and billing forms
- Assist in inventory management and warehouse operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR record with no major violations
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with navigation apps and delivery software
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Familiarity with Detroit metropolitan roadways
