Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans to deliver packages and materials throughout Chicago suburbs
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for all shipments
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Load/unload cargo efficiently while adhering to weight distribution protocols
- Communicate delivery status and traffic conditions via dispatch system
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Assist with inventory management at distribution centers
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metropolitan roadways
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings
