Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on designated routes within New York and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving time, mileage, and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must have a clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Basic knowledge of logbooks and DOT compliance regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
