Responsibilities
- Pickup & Delivery: Safely collect packages from distribution centers and deliver them to residential and commercial locations within the Columbus metro area.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Customer Service: Provide a professional and friendly face to our customers, handling packages with care and answering questions regarding delivery schedules.
- Route Planning: Efficiently navigate routes to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption using our GPS-enabled app.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary delivery paperwork and electronic logs as required by state regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A clean, valid Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record (MVR).
- Vehicle Access: Reliable personal transportation suitable for delivery duties.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) with the ability to work occasional overtime.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and basic proficiency with mobile technology and GPS devices.
