Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using proper safety equipment and lifting techniques.
- Verify delivery accuracy and complete all necessary paperwork (Bill of Lading, Delivery Receipts) accurately and timely.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and cargo status.
- Ensure the security of cargo and vehicle at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B (CDL Permit holders considered for training).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (preferred).
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to work weekends (Friday - Sunday) and holidays as required.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.
- Must be able to pass a road test.
