Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans to transport goods and materials across designated routes in New Orleans
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Load/unload cargo efficiently while ensuring proper handling and security
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize routes to meet delivery deadlines while minimizing fuel consumption
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 2 years)
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred but not required
- Proven experience in delivery or van driving operations
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans metropolitan area geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate in varied weather conditions
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic proficiency using GPS navigation systems and delivery apps
