Responsibilities
- Safely operate 15-20 ft cargo vans for local and regional deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and GPS tracking systems
- Load/unload packages with proper lifting techniques (up to 50 lbs)
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Optimize routes for maximum efficiency and on-time performance
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Boston metro area and surrounding regions
- Physical ability to handle packages in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic familiarity with delivery tracking apps (e.g., Fleetio)
