Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans to transport goods and materials to designated locations safely and on time.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery records (DOT compliant).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT Medical Card and passing a DOT physical examination.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and navigation systems.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
