Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, dry vans) to deliver freight on time
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage route navigation and handle unexpected delays professionally
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license or ability to obtain CDL-A with company sponsorship
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math and communication skills
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including nights/weekends
- Willingness to travel regionally (1-3 day trips)
