Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time and in good condition.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logbooks (ELD).
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and tie-downs.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all FMCSA and company regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state of Texas.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) with no disqualifying conditions.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety, defensive driving, and defensive parking.
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and mileage tracking.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
