Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across designated routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation (e-logs)
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper securing techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Resolve delivery exceptions and route challenges proactively
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years recent commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metropolitan area
- Flexible schedule with reliable attendance
