Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and on time.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues.
- Deliver freight to designated locations in Los Angeles and surrounding areas efficiently.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding delivery times, traffic conditions, and potential delays.
- Uphold high standards of customer service and safety at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Card and DOT physical examination certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
