Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on various routes within the United States.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are secured properly for transit.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Uphold a professional image and maintain the cleanliness of the truck.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required for entry-level trainees).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong willingness to learn and obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) if necessary.
- Physical ability to lift and handle cargo, and sit for extended periods.
- Good time management skills and attention to detail.
- Valid DOT Medical Card (or willingness to obtain one).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
