Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in all weather conditions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and route changes.
- Keep the truck and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen clearance.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience (preferred for Class A).
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Physically fit to meet DOT requirements; ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic proficiency with GPS and mobile technology.
