Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers, straight trucks) to transport goods to designated delivery locations within and around El Paso, TX.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are properly secured and protected from damage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery receipts.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery details and address any logistical challenges.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (Medical Card required).
- Strong knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
