Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with DOT and company regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is balanced.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and paperwork, including bills of lading.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure passenger and cargo safety on the road.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries, including drop-and-hook operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to read maps and GPS systems.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and adhere to safety protocols.
