Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver freight safely and on time to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks or pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs and electronic logging devices (ELD) in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized to present a professional image.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one through our training program.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate unfamiliar routes using GPS systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to handle minor roadside issues.
