Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and securing equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, and delivery logs (ELD/Daily logs).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Keep the truck and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and sitting for extended periods.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
