Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently on designated routes.
- Deliver freight to customers in a timely manner, ensuring complete and accurate delivery.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery receipts, and paperwork in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and protected against damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required (depending on vehicle type).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELD).
