Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on highways and local roads in Los Angeles, OH.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo accurately using forklifts or manual handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of driving hours, fuel, and vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check will be conducted).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic math skills for cargo weight and balance calculations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
